Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games
The International Olympic Committee announced finally the host city of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games:Rio de Janeiro.
The candidate cities were: Chicago, Tokyo,Madrid and the winner, Rio de Janeiro.
In the first round Chicago was eliminated. Tokyo was the next one, on the list of the elimination.
It is the first time South America will host an Olympics event.
The 2016 Summer Olympic Games are scheduled to be held from 5 to 21 August 2016.
The 2016 Summer Paralympics will be held in the same city and organized by the same committee. They are scheduled to be held from 7 to 18 September.
